Perseid meteor shower: A great show

August 12th 2005

Hanging out with friends in the middle of the night, in the middle of no where, we experienced the hundreds of meteors burning bright, sometimes slow, and always catching your attention. While we lost count at 50 meteors, we have some other interesting numbers:

  • Number of hours: 5 hours
  • Number of images: 400 digital, 35 film
  • Number of meteors caught on camera: 28
  • Number of planes caught on camera: 10
  • Number of people climbing trees: 1
